-Safety Workshops @ Arnold Hill School
Arnold Hill School and the Extended Services would like to invite you to access the FREE E-Safety workshops being delivered at Arnold Hill School.
What is E-Safety?
With increasing, evolving developments in technology, it can be difficult to keep up-to-date with how children and young people are using the internet. Internet safety, grooming, cyber-bullying and privacy are becoming ever present issues in todays society.
The E-Safety workshops are here to help empower parents against the risks associated with the digital era. The sessions will involve looking at the potential risks, how grooming can take place, how cyber-bullying can take place as well as the commercial threats.
The sessions will provide parents with advice on how best to avoid these issues, what can be done if you or your child becomes a victim as well as developing the skills and knowledge in order to make the internet as safe as possible.

Adult Education Courses
South Nottinghamshire College provide a fantastic range of qualifications that can be taken part time and within the Nottinghamshire area.
You can find all of the available courses by clicking the link below. Some are accredited through various awarding bodies, e.g. NCFE this is indicated against the course. OCN next to a course listing indicates that you will gain a certificate from the Open College Network that will enable you to progress to higher-level qualifications. These courses have no examinations but you will be expected to submit a folder of work at the end of the course to gain your certificate. Fee remission is available for all accredited courses and the price indicated is for the FULL COURSE. Other courses are non-accredited and are designed to provide students with an opportunity to follow their personal interests and leisure activities and can lead onto accredited courses. The price indicated is for the full course but courses may be extended where there is sufficient demand and an additional fee will then be payable. These leisure programmes are funded solely through fee income. Consequently everyone attending pays the full fee indicated and there is no fee remission available.
