Family football frenzy for dads and their lads
FAMILY FOOTBALL FRENZY FOR DADS & THEIR LADS - ALL PART OF THE "ACTIVE PARENTS" PROJECT Although this course started on Saturday 26 March 2011 it is still going strong and will continue until 26 May 2011 - The reason for this delayed information is that the course is such a success I wanted all of those Dads & their Lads especially those living in and around Calverton to get off their sofas, grab their sons and get down to the all weather football pitches at Calverton Leisure Centre. A fully qualified football coach is waiting to put you through your paces in a FUN filled & enjoyable environment with like minded people who are looking to bond have FUN with their sons playing the beautiful game, whilst at the same time participating in healthy physical activities. Gedling Play Forum and Gedling Borough Council are hosting an arts and craft afternoon with a Chinese New Year theme. Come and make your own lantern and mask and listen to traditional Chinese songs and stories during the afternoon. A grand lantern parade around the lake starts at 5.15pm.
Parents must be in attendance at all times.

This joint event is organised and funded by the Gedling Play Forum and Gedling Borough Council and offers a chance for the under 14s to express themselves through play in a safe and secure environment. There will be dance, BMX and sports sessions, drumming workshops, dressing up, traditional games and activities for all ages and abilities to try. Wear your play clothes for lots of fun and laughter.

Big stage entertainment from local and professional entertainers over the weekend. Saturday has The Foundations and on Sunday, The Bogus Brothers party band will end the night. Favourites also include Fun Dog Show, BBMF Dakota, children’s fun fair & activity marquee, BMX & skateboarding sessions in the ball court, sports taster sessions and competitions, craft & charity stalls, street entertainers and food & drink court. Free entertainment on both days for all the family. Bring a blanket, relax and let us entertain you. Limited on site parking.

The Borough’s largest horticultural show and classic car & motorbike show. Central arena entertainment, BBM Spitfire flypast, Fun Dog Show, street entertainers, various have-a-go sporting and bmx sessions, sideshows, childrens’ fun fair, craft and charity stalls and food court. The Gedling Play Forum will also be providing free activities for children of all ages and abilities. Entertainment for all the family.
